Shikanji is always made With fresh lemon juice and spiced with some black salt and some roasted cumin powder. Sugar is also added. So you have a sweet and salty lemony drink with hints of cumin.

Sweetener (ASPARTAME), Lemon fruit powered, Jain Shikanji Masala ( kali mirch, clove, black salt, salt, Harad, jeera, nausadar and anardana.
Shikanji is definitely a tempting drink when traveling outdoors, especially it is quite popular here in Delhi where I live currently. In fact, I come to know about it only last month for the first time.
Living in Pune and then Bangalore where there is not much heat in the summer, these types of drinks are virtually unknown and not sold least on the streets.
