What does the Local Guides program mean to me?
The local guide program allows me to help people choose a place and promote tourism in my department, improving the economy of my people, in the end it is the goal to help people through technology. I would like to learn about more cultures and grow as a local guide
In our travel around Jardín and Guatape we met beautiful places full of color.
Jardín:
It´s a beautiful town located at 3 hours from Medellín, with landscapes full of coffee, amazing and kind people, quiet plans and also adventure.
La cueva del esplendor is located at 1:30 minutes from town. It´s recommended visit this place during summer.
We buy the plan that included refreshment. The travel and transportation cost us 15 USD (55.000 COP) for person, at a town agency.
To start the travel we met at the town, and took a camper over 40 to 45 minutes journey, then there was a part walking where you can enjoy lot of streams and birds.
We host in casa encuentro hotel boutique The night for 2 people is 45 USD (180.000 COP), a cheap and quiet place with delicious breakfasts.
It´s located about 4 hours from Medellín and is one of the most popular places. The town is full of colors, with their tuc tucs that take you anywhere; colorful houses and of course la Piedra del Peñol with 220 mts tall. When you finish the 702 stairs you´ll feel that you are in heaven.
