Thinking of a trip across South Africa? Take the Blue Train... Here's Why.

Sadly there’s no lions roaming our streets but there are several distinct ecosystems in a country that’s just 2 times bigger than Texas.

From winelands, beaches to desert and forest. With inland safaris Bear Grylls would approve.

Tip 101:Early mornings and evening are usually the most productive game viewing times. This is because the animals then tend to be more visible, as they do not look for shelter or shade.

Our main cities (PTA-JHB-CT) have completely been westernized. So if you’re looking for an outfit. Gucci in Sandton city will have it waiting for you.

You need to decide which side of South Africa you’d like to see. Travel across our beautiful landscape on The Blue Train to get a taste of how beautiful it really is. With a fine dining and lodging experience of course.

This is known as a luxury service in South Africa, however with our exchange rate its about the same price as a trip on the underground except with a 5* service and no one busking

Once you’re in Cape Town. This is what to expect or do…

Besides our beauty

Most of all we love socialising. 540 wineries says it all with some of the best exports the world has tasted to date. That’s why I’m happy to show you a taste of S.A and what to expect from our social side as well. My next post would be some videos of social life in South Africa

Ask me anything ?

Hi @JoeBerg ,

Thank you for sharing this amazing post from South Africa! I really enjoyed reading it and what really made me curious is your 540 wineries! Can you recommend a place with perhaps an award winning wine? I’ve tasted a few wines from your country and they are indeed spectacular.

@DanniS My pleasure:) If had to go through all 540 wineries I’d definitely be an alcoholic. Nevertheless I have scratched the surface though. These are wineries I’d recommend:

Steenberg Wine Estate-

Some the most celebrated Sauvignon Blanc is produced here.

Tokara-

Has award winning cuisine and wine with unrivalled views over False Bay

Ken Forrester Vineyards

Their Chenin Blanc was served at Madiba’s 85th Birthday

Haute Cabriere-

Rich in history with wine made using two noble cultivators, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir

Bouchard Finlayson-

One of South Africas most acclaimed boutique wineries

Ernie Els Wine-

Yes he’s a golfer but with the help of Louis Strydom a winning winemaker they were able to produce premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet based blends.

Dieu Donné

Most awarded wines are their Merlot & Shiraz.

I still have a few others up my sleeve :stuck_out_tongue:
