I reached the airport way ahead of time for 10am flight. Completing luggage drop and security check in no time, with time in hand planned to explore a part of the airport. Starting with a large cup of filter coffee giving me energy, I started airport exploration.

There is a spot in this airport- I LOVE MUMBAI spot. Filled with greenery, crocodile statues, waterfalls and a small stream flowing, it’s a selfie spot too. This spot is the middle spot from where you start walking towards the allotted gate. Since my gate was not allotted, walking ahead, I stopped near the right entrance. This right takes you towards Gate 65, 66.
Since I had never been to this side turning and walking ahead, stopped by another right that takes you to gate 85 and more. All through the pathway found paintings, statues and history. There is a carved cave, designer door entrances, painting of God and statues of many Gods and Goddess.
Coming out of the right, I thought of walking till the end of the lane then turn and go ahead. Watching menu on Burger King shop, noticed a left turn. Peeping to my utter surprise lovely garden stood in front of me. Unable to resist I walked towards the garden. This garden faces Gate 66. Filled with bushes, lush green leaves, trees, my favourite banana leaf tree was there too. The garden is circular with pathways inside to walk, and seaters to sit. I spent about 20mts in this place. Facing the runway, this garden is called as Adani Botanical garden.
From this garden there is a pathway ahead taking you to an array of eatery shops. Stopped by had breakfast at Kailash parbat for poha. With time nearing departure, searching for gate allotted on the board I saw the gate number. As I walk towards the gate, I realised am back to the same side of airport I explored in the morning, not knowing this is my departure gate.
So travellers if you are allotted Gate 65, 66 don’t miss out on these things to see.
