I started sharing information a little over two years ago. The process took me time, but once I realized the kind of impact it has and the kind of assistance it can provide, I’ve made it a point to put my best foot forward for the same.
My favorite thing to share on Google Maps is photos. Real, authentic, good quality photos, especially of places whose ambiance, hygiene etc matters (Like hotels, restaurants, cafes, streets, markets etc.).
The reason I started doing so is very personal. Anyone can get professional photoshoots done, but that doesn’t provide a real picture to the user. Google search is the first thing people from all age groups perform, and most of them do not go beyond the images on google for their review. Hence I believe this is a very important thing for people to have access to.
Other than that, I love answering questions about places and validating the information that is there. Even minor details can make a lot of difference to the help a person is getting from her/his search query and for me to have the ability to provide some clarity on the same is a big deal.
