As a local guide, I hope to help people in finding great times.
It all started when I went to a restaurant with my girlfriend and had an awful experience… We are adventurous and enjoy meeting new places and trying new things. When we started going out we would walk around and find a place to eat and this is when we started our bad luck strike with a lot of “Que fria”… for us a “que fria” means to be in a situation that we were expecting something good, it looked promising and now that we are in it, we know it’s definitely not a good choice. It was so impacting that we created a stamp, the “Que fria”!
The first time we went to what seemed a hip and cool restaurant, after seating at the table and ordering… well, the food was cold and way expensive, the beer room temperature (in Brazil that means hot!), we suffered through it and laughed about it later.
Our luck strike went on for at least half a year, we had a few good experiences, but mostly not so great. Sometimes we would take our parents along and after a few months, they banned us from choosing the restaurants… It went on until we went to a restaurant and felt that it was so bad that we had to alert other people, this is how I wrote my first Google review!
After I wrote this one, it still took me a while to really get into it and start posting more. Posting not only about restaurants but also about different experiences that I have, giving tips especially about good places and where people can find great experiences.
Nowadays we are back on trying our luck and getting ourselves in different “que fria” but mostly we’ve been having good luck and spreading the love… finding new places and having fun while in them.
