I was thinking about a bunch of things (again, hahah), and about how do we look for things constantly, and then till we get back and lay down to pay attention, we will note that the best experiences we would have are completely reachable. I’ve got that insight when I had to move home sometimes and needed to discover my new hood, what are the markets, area for transport, parks, shopping… this is crucial to your survival and to your understanding to get a better life in the new place. Most of these times, I’ve started my own urban expedition, like ‘Dora the Explorer’(my height doesn’t differ that much from the character, but here we go) from real’s life. I walked many times by foot, which got me the opportunity to check places in a detailed look. Discovered best ways, made some new shortcuts that I’ve never imagined using only Maps (Tks too much to not be lost many times) and my curiosity. These experiences were awesome because I felt like a citizen of the world. Being part of something greater, sharing what I lived to anyone who wants to get an impression before a try, with more information about. This is possible because if you look right behind your house or Office street, there’s a new experience waiting. Many people would think that unlooking barber shop has nothing to be checked, but it still may surprise them, if they got the opportunity to check by themselves too. Small Local Businesses are amazing because they have a special touch. Pretty full of history, most of these places survive by their local clients that still live near and buy there. They got a connection with the place. Other buildings are readings from a complex pass, like that one:
Like the photo above, this example was an important investment for the region, but it failed due the corruption on the hood. Look now, we got a politician point, only checking by some abandoned construction. Discovering something new is great! At first sight, it doesn’t make too much sense, but I promise, try to look further on the grocery that you are used to going. I bet you’ll find something that you can’t see in other places. Or you can find some of anything!
Right over there are too many places, just look around. Talking about personal observations helps too many people, like me, that need to feel home (even moving several times). This means to be connected with the place they are, and staying in connection has the same meaning from sharing some common ground, getting a comfortable and safe place. Exchange experiences help, and also is funny. Human instinct is to survive, and to do it, we need to discover! Living new experiences is essential to happiness. And even you are not so bold or couldn’t travel to the other side of the world and learn new cultures, I bet you have too much to discover right there your house. A universe of flavors, people, shops, parks, squares, and endless stories. The best of all is that technology bridges all that you live with a million more people who already experienced other experiences, and certainly, some of them will be very grateful to you and your tips when knowing a place where you’ve been before. There is much to live in the city, many other universes are very close to you, just waiting for someone to talk about them. This is what I love about being a Local Guide, I connect the places where I step and connect people to them.
