Hello Friends,
While uploading photo on Google Map through the desktop the below error message pops up as shown in the picture “There was an upload error”.
However, it is working perfectly fine on Android phone for my account.
I have already performed the below tests but the result is same:
- Tried uploading the photo of different sizes (4.35 MB and 3.83 MB).
- Tried uploading photo at different POI (of course the relevant photo of that particular POI).
- Using my android mobile phone. As confirmed above, it works fine on mobile.
Any leads towards solving this issue is much appreciated.

Please try the second tab (Photos from Phone). This normally works better and you do not need to download the files to your desktop prior to uploading them from Google Photos to Google Maps.
This works only if you are using Google Photos to back up the photos on your phone.

Hello @MortenCopenhagen ,
Yes, uploading photos on Google Map through Photos from Phone tab is working fine.
My ask is more on the photos which are not backed up on Google Photos and are backed up on my desktop.
So far it was working fine but such issue started popping up since this morning.

Give it some time, @Kumaarsantosh It could be a connection or temporary issue.
If you have images on your laptop you could try uploading them via Google Photos. If you have specific photos that will not go through then it might be the file. I suspect that Google Photos might be more savvy than Google Maps when it comes to strange image files.
Cheers

Thanks @MortenCopenhagen . Waiting for some time is a wise suggestion.
I do not think that there is any issue with the file as I mentioned in my original post, I have tried different files but the results are same.
There are other workarounds as well that I move the desktop file to my android mobile and then upload on Google Map through my android mobile. Job is done but the original issue remain unsolved.
