Two days ago I visited beautiful city Saint Petersburg.
I would like to share my impressions and my photo album.
TheTsarskoe Selo is State Museum Reserve.
Tsarskoe Selo is also called the “city of muses”,because there is a lot of associated with the youth of the brilliant poet **Alexander Pushkin.**He studied here in Tsarskoe Selo Lyceum, lived here and sang in his poem the beautiful nature of Tsarskoe Selo.Lyseum, where he studied,is located near the Cathetine Palace. The Lyseum was founded in 1811 and was intended for education of noble children.Pushkin studied from 1811 -1817. The lyceum building is now a Museum.
It is a brilliant monument of world architecture and park and garden artistry of 18-20th centuries.
In Tsarskoe Selo the full range of artistic stylesis represented from Baroque to Classical eras.Imperial rulers from Catherine 1 to Nicolas ll have left their mark to Tsarskoe Selo. The compositional centre of the ensamble is Catherine Palace,a magnificent baroque style building.

I’ve been in St. Petersburg once, when I was a child. Unfortunately, as you may assume, I don’t have clear memories of this gorgeous city. However, this is one of my ‘must visit’ places.
Meanwhile, I will enjoy this beauty in your photo album. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I am looking forward for your next amazing destination. Do you have anything already planned?
Wow @helga19 , the photos are looking fantastic. I really enjoyed scrolling through them. By the way, I don’t know if that’s only me, but the Catherine Palace really reminds a little bit of the Palace of Versailles. Have you been there?
