Uploading pictures & videos are the best means to connect with the place and I love sharing them on Google maps. They are self-explanatory and people are able to connect with them very fast. People can actually see the place & the food it offers before visiting thus saving their time. Over past few months I have also added few 360 Degree pictures of some places as they are even more powerful than normal pictures.
Also, there are many small businesses in my city which do not get much exposure due to lack of online presence. So whenever I get a chance or come across any such business I make sure that I upload the pictures/ add more information to provide smooth experience to the visitors and so that no other person have to face the issues that I faced myself. Many a times I notice that information present in Google listings is outdated or wrong so I try to update such places with correct information like correcting the marker location or updating the phone number or marking non-existent places as “Closed”.
I also make sure to answer all the questions about a place whenever Google sends me a push notification to submit answers.
