Whenever I go out of my home country, South Africa, to other countries, I make it a point to pay a visit to historical sites because these are the places which normally carry the history of the countries. Sharing meaningful pictures of historical sites or monuments is my favourite thing to do because this gives people on google maps the background and the paints a picture of a country or a place that I visit or which the viewer may like to visit in the future.
I find historical sites, museums and monuments to communicate a rich history, culture or tradition of a place and those are my area of interest naturally. When I am out visiting countries or places of interest, I want viewers to know about my experiences too through sharing the meaningful lessons I have obtained through travel. I am almost like playing the role of a tour guide from a distance just through digital media.
Sometime ago I went to Windhoek Namibia on a business trip, however I could not leave the beautiful city without paying a little site visit to one of the monuments or sites that carry the history of this beautiful country. I took pictures inside and out of the city and learned a thing or two regarding my African forefathers on their quest for freedom.
It was such a fulfilling sight looking at the old artistic paintings and statues that demonstrate the history of our African forefathers. I love sharing this kind of information with others on google maps because I love informing others about interesting discoveries.
