Tajhat Palace locally called “Rajbari” that means Home of King. It is situated in Rangpur city. It was built by Maharaja Gopal Lal Roy in the years between 1908 and 1917. It is one of the most prominent heritage sites in Rangpur city.
I have visited there two times till now. This entire palace is surrounded by beautiful nature, flower-fruit garden and trees. The structure is too much similar with “Ahosan Manjil” and the water running fountain design more similar with “Lalbugh Kella”. This place has been used as a district court for long times. Few years ago the palace is permanently closed for court job and only open for visitors.
From anywhere of Bangladesh you must come first Rangpur, then come to “Shapla” and take a three wheeler auto to reach the Tajhat palace. Hope you will come!
বাহ্! খুব সুন্দর লিখেছেন, ছবি দেখে তো যাওয়ার লোভ সামলাতে পারছিনা। আমি রংপুর অনেকবার গিয়েছি তবে আশেপাশে ঘুরে দেখা হয়নি। ইনশাআল্লাহ এবার সুযোগ হলে আপনার উল্লেখিত প্লেস সহ অন্যান্য জয়গাও দেখে আসব। আর কোথায় কোথায় যাওয়া যায় জানাবেন অবশ্যই।
