The Statue of Liberty In New York

I took some photos during my trip last year to see the Statue of Liberty!

Of all the photos I took, this is my favorite because of the light beaming from the Statue’s crown!

Nice picture @Reisen ! You remind me an old love: New York. I parked the thought to go for a while, but I can reconsider it…

Thanks!

@Reisen I also have a photo of the Statue of Liberty, but mine is from a replica in a famous store here in Brazil…haha, this photo was in the State of Santa Catarina.

Hi @Reisen

Really cool shot! How did you enjoy New York? What camera are you using? I like how sharp your photo is and the colors are bright.

Is there a way to go up the Statue of Liberty? Did you go there? It’s probably really amazing to see in person.

@JSeng New York is not just a busy city but it has a rich history! Make it happen in your bucket list! I used to just dream about going to New York 5 years ago and I almost said goodbye to my dream of visiting places but I kept going and tried and tried until I almost can’t believe I was flying to New York! I say never give up and go for it!

@DanniS Thank you! I enjoyed New York and my trip went exactly how I planned it. I am using Canon EOS Rebel SL2 with a wide angle lens.

There is a way to go up but you will need to make reservations atleast 6 months before for you to be on the list. I planned my trip a week before and made an itinerary for myself 3 days before so I did not get on the list to climb up to the crown. But I still enjoyed my trip because I learned a lot about the history of the statue. It is very symbolic as well and seeing it in person, made me feel emotional. I learned that the 7 spikes on the statue’s crown symbolizes the 7 continents of the world and the 7 seas, representing liberty in the world.

@Reisen Oh that’s really great. I didn’t know this about the spikes. That’s the best when you get to learn while you explore and it makes your trip even more meaningful. Thank you! :slightly_smiling_face:
