As you might imagine Pizza is pretty much a big deal for Italians.
For us pizza is the window to the soul of each person. You can customize it as you prefer, ad your favorite veg, ask for an extra cheese on top, or even put pineapple, the important is that you enjoy it.
Traditionally pizza come from Naples, the Italian sacred city for pizza.
So if you love pizza and you are in your vacation in Italy, but Naples is not on your road map, don’t panic, traditional pizza will come to you.

Cool fact to share with friends: Did you know that in Italy there are find two different type of Pizza? so if you want to impress someone in a date at an Italian restaurant remember, the first is tall and gummy and it’s the Naples style, the second is crunchy and thin, that the Roman one, good luck and enjoy it ?

Just looking at your photos I’m already hungry! I love pizza, especially margherita! I have only tasted in Florence and I didn’t know that Naples is the pizza city. There is still so many places I need to visit in Italy so hopefully I get to go to Naples.
What is this ‘babba’? Is it a sweet dessert?

Thank you for your tag in this delicious post. I think Naples is worth to be visited at any stage of the year. In summertime for the beautiful coast, in winter for its unique “Presepe”'s statues, which are representation of Nativity during Christmas period.
“Babba’” are the best sweets to try as a dessert there, especially if you like the taste of Rhum.
I think you spotted on @nicspelgatti during your stay there as Margherita is the top choice for pizza there. Have you got the chance to try other typical stuff from there?
excellent choise ! margerita is one of my favourite too! if you have the chance ask for a “Margherita with double mozzarella” you are going to love it!!
Yeah babbà is a sweet, is a small yeast cake saturated in syrup made with hard liquor, usually rum, and sometimes filled with whipped cream or pastry cream!! it’s defenetly a must eat

i belive that overseas is very rare that they have it, but if they do, it means they are authentic Italian pizza restaurant from Naples enjoy your pizza!
