The sky over 2020

Once quarantine started, people went out less. So naturally, the pollution levels went down to an extent. Usually the skies would be covered with clouds or smog, but after the pollution decreased, the skies were much clearer! Here are photos I took over the year!

Hope you have a safe and prosperous year!

Thanks for sharing your clouds @RitwikaB and your question of what ancient people would see is an interesting one, I imagine less smog/pollution and more stars since there would have been few if any lights casting upwards into the sky.

The clouds themselves I would imagine would be fairly similar to what we see today.

Hi @RitwikaB

Welcome to Connect :handshake:

Your photos of the skies taken over a period of time are amazing.

I traveled once in the desert of Rajasthan and on a clear December night stepped out of the car, turned off the headlights, and with no source of light till the horizon in any direction witnessed the most amazing view of the starry sky that I will remember for ever.

My basic mobile unfortunately was not capable of capturing the magical sky so it remains only in my memory.

If that’s the case I’d have to say I’m quite jealous of the great ancients :joy: They must’ve had the most marvelous views

I did once hear that the mind’s eye is the greatest camera! Oh, what I wouldn’t give to see the winter stars! :star2:

WOW! Different view of sky. So much attractive post. I always like to see the nature beauty.

Thank you so much @RitwikaB for posting.
