The center of São Paulo was almost abandoned by the elite of the city in the 70’s. Since then many underground cultural movements tried to take place in this area expressing the discomfort of a part of the population excluded from modernity and the advancement now reserved for other areas of the city. WHAT THIS WALK IS ABOUT Graffiti in Sao Paulo is much more than art, much more than expression, much more than “Vila Madalena” The center of the city has been always the canvas of many artist and graffiti makers We will start this walk from the top. The first graffitis we will see will be from the Copan Building Terrace! WHAT WE WILL SEE Getting to know Roosevelt Square and its theater movements we will pass by Republica Square and Sao Joao Avenue. We will see graffitis from Kobra, Apolo Torres, Inti and Alexis Dias, Rita Wainer and much more!
