I love Google Maps and use it very much to find out. Google Maps is now filled with a wide variety of reviews, even small shops and tourist attractions. However, if you look closely at the content of your review submissions, you’ll find people with few reviews. If you imagine why you wrote it, you probably want to report a complaint or it’s a lot of whim. This is a problem that can lead to reputational damage for shops and municipalities, especially in Japan with a review culture.
I am confident in the quality of my review. No matter where you put it out. I keep writing with such considerations. Google’s Local Guide leveling may be very effective in motivating and driving responsible action. I think it’s great.
With that in mind, the only thing that this network of local guides has to do once again is that each and every one of them must be aware and “continue to transmit real information”. Because there are obviously many weak people who can’t tell the truth. As Google evolves in the near future, the quality of services will increase and the fact will be communicated to those who need it. With such expectations, I would like to follow Google Maps and the Local Guide system through my own activities.
