Bangladesh is full of rivers. Some rivers are big and some rivers are small. Almost all the small rivers are the tributaries of big rivers. As the river khagjana is a tributary of the river Dhaleswari. Again the river Dhaleswari is a tributary of the river Jamuna.
The river khagjana has passed through many villages among them the village Barati is prominent. It has also passed through Mirzapur town. This river is’nt very big but many people use to earn their livelihoods from this river by catching fish, plying boat for river crossing etc. In winter the water is’nt enough for plying boat so that the boatmen can’t earn their livelihood by plying boat. They have to do other works. As this river has a bridge over it in village barati,no boatmen is needed in village barati for river crossing.
I captured this photo from barati bridge…
