Why ?
Everything often starts with this question.
So, Why do I want to be a part of Local guides community ? What makes it a wonderful tool ?
First thing is because I just love to use it ! Either it is to find a great restaurant, or the best cinema around, or maybe to find the best tennis club in my area to meet new players !
Local Guides community is just an amazing tool for all of us. A sharing tool, one that gives us the opportunity to help others to have a better insight of what is around, on our environment.
I think today, we are right in a period where science and technology are as incredible as dangerous for us, and our planet.
Look at all the side effects, try to imagine how bad this could be (thanks to Black Mirror we have some clues ^^).
In the same time, the tools we have in our hands make it possible to change everything for the better, and quite fast !
Local Guides, to me, is one of those tools.
With only our smartphone, we can connect with dozens, hundreds, thousands of people in such a short time, to create a wonderful impact on our world.
Ok, Now maybe you think I’m going a bit too far ? Come on, the guy just rated a cocktail bar in Lyon and now he’s talking about impacting the world ?
Well, maybe. The thing is with Local guides you can do much more than just putting 5 stars for a good meal.
You can spread the word about incredible people, about kindness, about daily adventures that might make a lot of people realize things they haven’t before. And question themselves.
With knowledge, you have more weapons to choose your life, to think by yourself, and in the end : to be happy. Then only, I think you can make positive changes on everything and everyone around.
To me, Local guides is all about sharing with others, and spreading love to try to make a change.
Maybe i’m a dreamer, but honestly… Life is much more fun with Dreams, isn’t it ?
