Whenever I see a location or a business listing without a photo on google map, my fingers begin to behave like itching and I feel so content after filling that location with a vibrant photo. I believe a location without photo is like a well physique person without eyes. People love to read reviews but they confirm it by seeing photos only. It’s like real evidence about that business or place. People rely on a popularity of a place or business when they see relevant photos of that.
Here I mention some places where my addition of photographs made a memorable impact.
What happened when I added first photo of a hotel!
When I visited this hotel for a business trip I gone through its reviews on map and surprised to see that there was no any photograph whereas it is a 4 star popular hotel in this city. When I was going to upper floor through stairs I just clicked a raw photograph of main building and uploaded to the location. Within no time it attracted such number of viewers that it becomes my top most viewed photographs. It’s still on number one position with most views of my contributions.
The story doesn’t ends here. After I added first photo the owner of the hotel noticed that and not only he replied on my review but also added their official photos of hotel and available services on the link. Now it’s a very active location and owner and other guests are regularly posting their reviews and photos on it. I am delighted that due to my one effort a passive location on map become vital and increasing the hotel business.
Train Station with a lush green lawn!
During my journey to religious temple Ma Vaishno devi in state of Jammu & Kashmir, India I come across the Katra Railway Station. It’s a newly built railway station, which giving excess to devotees to come direct from jammu by railway line. Earlier this location was commutable by roadways only. The newly built railway station having a lush green lawn across the platform, which is a rare thing on Indian Railway network. I clicked some photos and put on google map. I also shared the link with my friends on social media and it attracted applause.
First Photo of a vegetable shop!
It’s a small fruits & vegetables shop near my home. I come across almost every day and buy things many times but I never checked whereas this shop is listed on google map or not. Few days before I just checked on map and found that its available on map but without any photo. I immediately took a photo of vegetables at his shop and posted. I was delighted to see that within few days photo crossed 1000 views. Only by adding photo a dessert like location become like garden. By this I realized the power of adding photos and power of google map too!!
