The Other Side of a Mosque

The mosque is a very important building for Muslims. The mosque is a place used for places of worship. Around my place of residence there are many mosques that have historical value. Starting from why the mosque was built to the architecture contained in it.

But in the modern era as it is today. It’s rare to find a mosque that has its own uniqueness. The picture in this article is a photo of a mosque that has a unique historical value.

Initially this mosque was a small building that was only used as a place of worship for a few people. Formerly the place was called a musholla. Over time the place is increasingly crowded with people. Even the building does not fit to accommodate people who come to the place.

Until finally after a few years. The building was renovated into a mosque. The mosque which is commonly used as a place of worship. But after that this mosque also functioned as another activity. Such as community gatherings and learning activities of small children.

In 2017 the building was restored with a bigger building. This mosque is named “Baitul Hakim Mosque”. The location is in a fairly remote area. In Blitar Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia.

At this time, the mosque cannot function as usual because of the covid-19 virus.

Although there are no activities at the moment. This mosque is still being treated as it should. I hope this mosque does not leave its old style. So that the historical value of the mosque is maintained.
