The Orlickie Mountains, forgotten place in the centre of Europe.

The Orlickie Mountains (Eagle Mountains), located in the Kłodzko valley, near many more famous tourist attractions are forgotten during summer by tourists and guides … no tourists, full of silence!

Thanks to it, there is incredibly peaceful there.

Lack of large cities results in a lack of lights and beautiful views of the stars at night.
Easy tourist routes are perfect for families with kids. Empty and high quality roads are perfect for cyclists.

On the Czech side, well-groomed cross-country ski trails and … on Polish side the only well-known part of this mountains: Zieleniec … huge winter ski center:

The Orlickie Mountains separate Poland and the Czech Republic. This is a beautiful mountain massif with amazing views of two valleys. The infrastructure is sufficient enough to be able to sleep and eat:

Would I want this place to remain so calm and silent forever? Of course, I would like. But also I would like people, who live here, who are living from tourism, have a decent life.

I invite all those who are thirsty for peace and quiet.

Access from Wrocław:

car: route A8 towards Kudowa-Zdrój

train: excellent connections on the Wrocław-Międzylesie train line, at weekends faster than by car.

bike: it’s a challenge! The busy route “8” is not good for cyclists and there are no alternative routes.

Very nice and relaxing views @mqwadrat , It’s not easy for me to consider these hills as mountains, but I know it’s all about scale! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry @mqwadrat , missed your nice post before. You are right, the Orlickie Mountains and the surounding are somehow forgotten places. For me is always Klodzko the entrance into this area.

There are a lot of small towns with the name ZDROJ around. I do not know if the English translation SPA would be correct, but in fact the air, the water and the harmony is relaxing you.

Before the children did born, my wife and I spend sometimes a weekend in one of the hotels in Bystrzyca Klodzka. It is already some years ago, but it was somehow “mystical” when thinking about who has been his holidays in this area in the past.

Great post! Thank you.
