The Orbit Cafe within the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando where I visited in June 2023 seemed like a fast-food joint at dine in prices.
The menu was displayed right at the entrance above the head and as seen in the photo below it was not crowded at all.
They had a convenient ordering system through several touch-screen kiosks.
The order pickup was quick and easy with order lines going pretty fast.
There was a self-help condiment section with fresh slices of tomatoes, sweet onions and lettuce along with 2 types of mustard, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and pickles.
Unlike burger joints in India, this cafe had an unlimited refill of soft drinks, iced tea, coffee mates.
They also had a neat dispenser for various plastic cutlery alongside a vertical gardening that added some charm to the atmosphere that was overall okay-ish.
I did not expect top quality in the seating area, but also it was not bad compared to a lot of museums or visiting centers with a captive audience.
They had both indoor and outdoor seating facilities.
It took only 10 minutes to get one burger with fries.
Both were very good, very fresh vegetables with a 10/10 score.
I chose to visit here on a weekend during peak season since most of the tourists would be at the top attractions like the Disneyland and the Universal Studios.
If you still get the kids along and don’t want them to wait along with you in the long queues, there is a day care called Planet Pay adjacent to the cafe.
Accessibility Features
Every section of the cafe was accessible for a wheelchair bound person, including the washrooms as seen in the photo below.
There also was a water fountain with a bottle filler.
For this alone I give it a 5 star, highly recommended ![]()
Most places starting from the parking to the ticketing counters are accessible.
Various Galleries and the internal tour bus are accessible via folding ramps.
Strollers are available for rent.
Mobility scooters are also available for those with difficulty walking.

- Visited here on a weekend since most people would head to other major attractions like Disney world and Universal Studio on a weekend.
Where to Stay
I stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham that was just across the street opposite the ICON Park.
