The one street side food cart in Bangalore

So this weekend 26th May 2024 7 PM, I was roaming on the streets of Jayanagar for shopping, I came across this location where there was huge crowd around one street side food cart.

I had no idea what he’s selling and why there’s so much crowd, but the crowd took my attention and I walked towards it.

There were 6 staff/workers operating this stall, selling different types of Dosa, idly, rice and chutney.

That’s how the pan was look a like.

I got curious seeing this pink dosa for the first time, I asked the person making it he said, it’s vegetable dosa, this turns pink because of presence of beet root in it. I ordered one and waited for around 10 min to get this, with two-three types of chutney.

I asked the chutney refill 4 times! And he gave it with smiling face all the time. (Rare in Bangalore/India).

The hygiene was also somewhat better than other street food stall we see in Bangalore or India in general.

When I done eating this dosa. Something surprised me, there’s a dedicated person for taking care of this waste plate and cleaning the space, which maintains the cleanliness in the area and there’s no flies flying around.

Also, there are two separate water bottles, one for hand wash and one for drinking, which is a good thing.

This kind of street side food stall is rare to see in India, with taking care of all these things. As most of the street side food stall are operates by one or two person at max, unlike 7 people here!!!

In the end, I asked one of the owner the name of the shop but there is no name according to him! I checked Google Maps right away and got Veg Dosa Camp (Krishna cart) with 4.4 ratings (780 reviews)!, Jayanagar, opposite to Malabar Gold and Diamonds.

If you live nearby or crossing this road, you should try dosa and idly here. Timings are 6 PM to 9:30 PM.

The most enjoyable thing in Bengaluru after its weather itself, are the Dosa carts on the roadside.

The taste is heavenly, and the service is prompt and with affection.

I enjoyed these a lot in the 5 years I lived in this city of dreams.

Your amazing photos bring back the memories @him31anshu

Looking forward to seeing more of Bangaluru in your posts :+1:
