The one of hundreds cities in Russia you don't know about.

What do you appreciate most in your job or profession? For me personally it’s possibility to travel. Traveling around the country, travelling abroad - what could be better to explore the world.

This time, the story is about Kaluga. Officially, it’s history starts in the mid-14th century as a border fortress on the southwestern borders of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Kaluga is located on the Oka River 150 kilometers southwest of Moscow. Currently the city is one of the historical centers of Russia, where many architectural monuments have been preserved. Like most cities, located on the banks of rivers, it has spectacular views and magnificent nature.

There are few photos below I took, when I was there in 2016.
