I gave five stars reviews for businesses that have helped me and my reviews have been there for so many years. But one day I wrote a one-star review for a business that cheated on me, the next day all my reviews were gone. This happened a couple of weeks ago. So my conclusion is, google reviews is not trustworthy and google reviews is merely an advertisement in disguise. Do not trust Google.
I don’t know your reviews, @almondtree , so I cannot comment on a specific reviews.
BTW, I have seen several one star reviews that still in place.
If a review violates Google’s review policies. will be made private (visible only to you). A local guides or a business owner can report a review that violates the policies, for being reviewed
On Prohibited and Restricted Content you can find some more details, e.g. “Only post content based on your experience or questions about experiences at the specific location. Maps is not meant to be a forum for general political, social commentary, or personal rants. Content that does not meet this standard will be removed.”
Again, I can’t say that this is the situation of your review, but the given links can help you to understand why a review cam be made private
Regarding what you said “all my reviews were gone” I can tell you that I can see three reviews on your profile
Thank you for your reply. It is not only the one star review but all other five stars reviews also disappeared. No, it’s not personal rant or anything. And I can’t write reviews anymore . It is truly truly very unfair to businesses that have earned and deserve five star reviews from me. I gave like 10 businesses 5 stars reviews and only a few negative reviews. You are right one star review stayed for years too except for this one. This makes me think that this specific business must make a kind of payment to Google. Google reviews is merely an advertisement in disguise. People start realizing that
