The National Bonsai Park in Delhi

The National Bonsai Park is located inside the Lodi Gardens in Delhi.

After entering the main gate the entrance to the bonsai park is on the right side and is narrow so can be easily missed.

Hundreds of bonsai Indian trees are on display over a well-paved and sprawling section garden which is lush green and is blessed with a cover with a think bush and vegetation.

As seen in the collage below the park name is not written at the entrance gate, though the bonsai plants are well labeled and plenty of information is displayed via large boards vividly painted with pictures of the trees.

Since the park is vast and involves plenty of walking it is recommended to carry or plenty of water or an energy drink even in winter. There is also a children’s play park adjacent to the park with modern play equipment.

I felt like a kid when viewing the miniature of Peepal and the Raintree which are normally enormous trees.

Especially when I come across the Bonsai of a Banyan I felt like one big eye and kept watching in awe at the baby Banyan.
The curves and stretches on the truck of the Bantan that typically appear after old age are already seen on the smaller version.

The local guide told me that when it is the proper season the fruits also bear miniature fruits which were simply astonishing so I left the place promising myself to return back at least one more time to witness the magic of nature created with human intervention.

There are several drinking water fountains or coolers inside the park.
Note that the public convenience room hosting the washroom and toilets are only near the main entrance and nowhere inside.

Have you been to a park that had unique features? I’d be interested in knowing your experiences.

Until then… Happy Guiding

The park had all accessibility features for the differently-abled right from the entrance throughout the entire expanse as seen in the various photos above and the one below:

Do you mean the film that discusses children with Developmental Delay?

Yes, I remember the film and have seen it just ones though

@TusharSuradkar

Thanks, dear @TusharSuradkar , for pointing this post to me…

I love bonsai plants are trees - I love to look at them to dream how Almighty “Crafts” such miniatures for us…
