On the eve of Christmas, the group was unable to return home, due to the roads in bad conditions, but they didn’t pass the date in white and wrote “Merry Christmas” on a local tree. When asked about where they had stayed, they replied: where there is a tree written “Merry Christmas”. The name ended up marking the which became the same name after the community was formed, which later became the city. "
