My personal way with google maps started a couple of years ago when i got married to my husband at chinamans beach in Sydney, Australia.
As we were looking for a lovely beach where we could get married, he found just such a fantastic beach in Sydney called chinamans beach.
My husband is australian and he was living many years in Sydney but never went to this beach before and when he found it, he knew that it was perfect for our wedding. With some rocks on the side of the beach, hills in the background, not too big, etc…just perfect.
As he was living in Australia at that point and I was living in Germany i wanted to look at some pictures on Google Maps to see how it looks like and i cruely had to find out that nothing existed to that beach!!!
Impossible!
So I couldn’t even see how that beach looked like on some pictures from other people. I had to change that right after we got married there. 
As you can see it was a lovely wedding on the beach at 40°C in the shade. 
After my wedding I started posting more and more on google maps because I think it is such a great opportunity for everybody to make our lives easier and much more connected. Nobody in the world has to miss out on any lovely place if everybody is sharing them on google maps. I think this is life changing.
