Hello dear, readers
My name is Mindaugas, I’m from lithuania, currently i serve in the military, but during free time i like to explore abandoned places and to search for beautifull places in and around my home town Kaunas. I’m often taking photos also recently started to record videos of various business, healthcare, catering and other places, but sadly for me photos of these places achieve more views that photos i made of beautifull places.
I’m glad that my work is highly valued and made a little bit of impact to the google maps.
Glad that i could also make some impact in my surrounding area by adding new places, erasing non-existing places and so on.
The most interesting thing I’ve done is that I climbed to the top of the tower.
The tower is approximately 238m height.
One day i joined to the local explorers group and later on they arranged a meeting to explore various places and i thought that this could be a great opportunity for me to get to know my town from ‘less known side’, meet new people and explore. So when i met them they told me that we are going to climb to the high tower. At first i thought that they were joking, but when we were approaching these towers it wasn’t so funny any more! As we were next to the tower it seemed soo tall and i wasn’t sure if i would be brave enough to climb it.
First we had to climb through a fence and started climbing ladders on to the tower. The higher we climbed, the stronger the wind was. At some point ladders were broken and wasn’t attached to the structure so it were swinging. At some point the construction was broken and it looked like at any time the tower could break apart.
but everything was ok and after approximately 30mins we managed to reach the top.
