As a local guide its nice to share my experiences by creating a review and using pictures to describe a place that I have visited. Also adding and edit the location in Google Map.
At first I did not really understand what being a Google guide was all about, just making a review about a place that I had visited. Until I went to such a place like Tumpak Sewu waterfall.
This waterfall is located at the border of Kabupaten Malang (my hometown) and Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia. The way to reach this place is not an easy journey and a true adventure, but all of it pays off once you finally arrive around this large hill and witness this stunning landscape… to me it’s like a secret heaven on earth.
After I posted my review along with photos that I had taken, one day people told me that they had seen my review and thanked me for making the recommendation to visit this location. I was so happy that what i did could help others to also discover such a beautiful and natural place. Also the review will help the rural area become better known as a tourist spot which will in turn benefit the businesses of local people. After I recognised that, I realised small things can have a big impact on others in many different ways.
Becoming a local guide is also a great way to become part of a community of like minded people. Sharing locations and helping you feel connected worldwide. For me personally I have made many new friends since I got involved, something I am thankful for.
This all gives me the motivation to keep exploring the world, creating more reviews and at the same time share knowledge and help others along their own journey in life.
