For me becoming a local guide never was a goal. I just use google maps from my first android smartphone (android v. 4) and after those years I only reached level 6. I travel sometimes and I’ve discovered some tips from a local guide review, it was really useful and interesting. Then I start to act in the same way, I start to provide useful information, add pictures and all the information what is needed for a passerby. I don’t expect much from my input, but some people like my reviews and pictures. For me it’s enough that I was helpful for a society.
The most interesting things for me it’s discovering a new places. I found an amazing picture on instagram, then I decided to drive there. Google maps has everything a need, the navigation (G-Auto), where are to park a car and where to go for a favourite meal. I like new features, new lists for a one trip: parking, spot, cafe and everything on the list. Translated reviews to English (Love it). Because I live in Germany ? Search the food preferences.
And now I reveal the community of guides, which is quite cool. Let’s do a real stuff, walk around, travel together, hike in beautiful locations.
