I love to go to the downtown area in my local city and find small business to get things like coffee, sandwiches and unique gifts. I happened to be downtown Norfolk, Virginia and sent into a pop-up shop venue called the Selden Arcade. It has all local and ecclectic food, clothing and artsy stores that are run by locals who are trying to give their business exposure. I regularly go in there and always but something for each of the stores and I take a picture of their business card and try to get a pic with the owner to help spread the work about their business on IG, FB and Google. Each shop has very nice one of a kind goods or locall sourced ingredients. I enjoy talking with the owners and gaining insight into their uniques offerings or where they may po-up next so I can tell my friends. It makes me feel a pary of the community and that I’m not just buying form the big retailers but supporting and helping smaller business to thrive.
