The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide has been adding new places to Google Maps, mainly places that are in countries that aren’t very well developed.
In many cases I’ve spoken to business owners about having their business listed on Google Maps, claiming it, and using it as a marketing tool. Google Maps is so much more than a guiding map.
This is just the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide, although there is so much more.

Cool Stuff! I very much recognize what you are mentioning here. There are still a lot of places in the world which are not so hard to reach, but where the coverage of Google Maps is a lot less relative to the developed world.

Same with me. I have a passion to help small and medium entreprise owner to use Google Maps as their marketing tools.
Usually I use my Local Guides profile as an introduction and and ice breaking to open communication.

After 15 years of Google Maps, mostly people use it only as a tools of giving direction and read review and seing foto and video.
There is plenty features that can be utiize by Small business entrepreneur.
