In August 2019 I took my family for the first time to Iran on a 3 week holiday. it was opportunity to show my children a beautiful country that is rich in culture and hertigate. We started our trip in Tehran which is the capital of Iran and we spent 3 nights here sightseeing and exploring the city. We then travelled north by car for 6 hours to the Caspian Sea and stayed in a town called Ramsar. We stayed here for 2 nights exploring the hills and relaxing on the beach at the sea. From Ramsar, we travelled south in a minibus going through small towns like Kashan, and then on to the ancient city of Isfahan. Here we stayed at the Abbasi Hotel famous for being the oldest hotel in the world. We then travelled to Shiraz spending two nights and we visited the famous pink mosque and pink lake. We then flew to Kish Island, and spent a couple of days on the beach where the weather was nearly 50C. We then took our last internal flight to Mashad for a 3 nights and visited a holy shrine and one of the largest mosque in the world. From here we decided to travel on an overnight train back to Tehran to complete our trip around Iran.
Using Local Guide gave me the opportunity to share my reviews on the various places visited in Iran, as most of the posts are in Persian and have very little coverage on local places. This made it more exciting to share my experiences in English as it can give a different perspective to a reader.
