The most interesting thing I've done as a Local Guide-Marine education

I’m Paul from Keelung, Taiwan.

Besides my role as a Google Local Guide level 5, I’m also a graduate student, majored in marine biology in Taiwan Ocean University. Fortunately, my apartment is nearby the ocean, so I can enjoy taking lots of marine-related photos in beautiful Keelung and even host foreigners to stayover sometimes.

1. Sharing the stories about marine creatures in Taiwan is always exciting for me.

I love to introduce them by different categories, including habitats, diets, lifestyles, reproductions in CHAO JING aquarium center!

2. Outdoor sports experiences are the most unforgettable memories we created together.

I brought them to experience kayaking and cleanup garbage on the way!

Besides, when I was paddling, I would like to ask and discuss the different governmental policies in environments between our countries and to not merely learn some new ideas from each other but figure out better solutions together!

Once, I hosted a German friend, Mo, the most impressive couch surfer I’ve ever seen. Mo is a funny and flexible guy, we enjoyed the cleanup, kayaking, snorkeling in CHAOJING park together. When we were kayaking and arrived the elephant rock nearby, which is 35-meter high from the water surface. He told me that he definitely wants to try the cliff jumping from the top of the elephant rock.
I was so shocked but amazed by his brave and adventurous spirit. I immediately called my friend to send a drone over for capturing this unforgettable moment.

3. That’s incredible when we see Mo jumped and flew in the sky!

I want to show more about the beauty of Taiwan to everyone who comes visit! As a local guide, it’s important to exchange lifestyles, languages, cultures, histories and foods to each other!

I will keep involving myself into culture-sharing as a Google Local Guide, and hope to see you in Keelung Taiwan or somewhere in the world!
