The most interesting and meaningful thing I’ve done as a Local Guide is to learn from the google local guide community and giving back my own feedback.
During my exchange life in Thailand, I can’t wait to explore more about this amazing landscape as a wanderlust.
Every time I planned to explore a new place, I learned from those reviews and stories by local guide and those detail helps me a lot, and I love to share my experience back afterwards.
For instance,by the beginning of the February, we decided to go on a trip to Khao Yai at the weekend. In the past, I may unluckily visit the blossom land when the flower get withered. However, thanks to the google local guide, I learned and obtained many useful information and details such as “it’s better to visit in morning”, “The flower get withered this month” ”They got a special festival during February” from other local guide and those useful information helps me to generate a better planning, all of the planning goes well during our trip and we enjoyed the fabulous weekend vibe in Khao Yai, the grape harvest festival in Pb valley, the scenic view at national park and the delicious authentic local food at a hidden restaurant.

After our trip, I’m grateful of those information and I decided to created my list and shared my schedule and experience of those magnificent landscaped spot to the community. It may not be easy to create a list but I feel it worth doing because it’s meaningful and interesting, those comment and story leaved by everyone in community might be a meaningful information for others. That’s why learning from and giving back is the most interesting and meaningful thing as a local guide, and creating a list and sharing my personal experience to other may somehow gain connection to people around the world. I wish my list could enhance others a better travel experience and figure out the spot they’d love to go while they are in hesitation.
In the future, I’ll continue my effort and the most interesting things I’ve done as a local guide is to learning from the community and giving back my own feedback and experience. And if I’ve got a chance to connect live 2020 California, I would like to share my story with local guide all over the world while listening and learning from other’s experience with face-to-face interaction and meet new friends. Also. I’m willing to bring those stories in California back to Hong Kong and spread those spirit around my society.
