The most interesting thing I've done as a Local Guide is sharing.

I am ZengFei, from China and I am currently working and studying in Singapore.

I like to take photos when I see beautiful places and find something new. And this is a good way for me to discover Singapore and know more about it.

When I came to Singapore 7 Years ago, I did not know how to find a location or a place. Then I start using Google Maps. For now, I am almost like half local here, because the pedestrian will ask me where is this place and how to get there sometimes and I can guide them. That’s a fantastic thing that I feel.

I like to learn and feel different cultures and discover the places unknown. After that, I will take a photo of those beautiful moments, because I know this moment and this scene will not happen again, so I must catch it.

When I know google maps deeply, I know that I can rating, creating and editing the place on it. Afterward, I will upload my photos, because I want to share with people my rejoice of what I feel of this place and the most beautiful part of it. The moment I feel satisfaction is I receive that more and more people view my photos, and review my comments.

The graceful thing is I can see other people’s sharing in Local Guides Connect. That is a great thing because we can know different points of view of how they see the world. I also get lots of benefits from it, since google will advise me of a suitable place and nice food for me. The more Data we contribute, the more beautiful places will be recorded and our next generation will remember it more easily. Because our pioneer discovers the world for us, so do we.

And the other interesting thing is I do not know the Connect Live Event actually, and then when I became Level 5, I received the email told me that I have a chance to join it. No pains, No gains. that is a gift of sharing.

Thank you for your precious time to read my post, and this is my first post. I wish all of you would not mind it, and you can leave any comments below for me to improve my posting.

Hello @ZengFei and welcome to Connect!

Thank you for your first post here! I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Chinese language tag, as it’s written in English. These labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides who are speakers of these languages. You can learn more about language tags in the article: How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
