When i discovered Google Maps back in 2010 smartphone and android were barely new experience for me and kenyans at large. i have never seen something useful in my life i was being sent from work to go to offices i have never been and it came in handy offering directions. By then i didn’t know People like me contributed to Adding those places and pictures. Until in 2016 when i received a notification to add a picture on google maps and got interested and since then i have been on the forefront.
My most favorite place i added on google maps is Ngarendare Forest Park I actually added the Place 3 years ago. Ngare Ndare (Maa for “goats’ water”) Forest is the main corridor between Mount Kenya Forest and Lewa Conservancy. Ngare Ndare is the only indigenous forest in Kenya with an expanding canopy cover, and some of the ancient African Olive and Red Cedar trees within it are thought to be around 200 years old.
The canopy walkway is one of 3 in the whole of Africa and the only in Kenya. It is an 80 ft. high aerial bridge of wire mesh and cables meandering through the tree canopy and extending 450 meters long. The walkway ends at a wooden platform 30ft. high, where you can relax and enjoy a view of the river from this elevated vantage point. Its a real treat to share the same space in the natural habitat with monkeys or birds. https://goo.gl/maps/U1vdH6UbXzZA4pQY8
According to notifications it feels good to know I have helped people more than 150,000 with directions to the place
One of my best doing photo is for Lake Alice it has 107,693 views shows how much I have helped identify the location to make choices while looking for nice place to tour. Its is said Prince William and Kate middleton toured here before they got engaged at the rutundu cabins which are 5Km away there’s is nothing accomplishing when you put something on maps and you experience it making change https://goo.gl/maps/ZKP7j5uG7w3jSwSJ6
