The most interesting thing I've done as a Local Guide: Improve the Hospitality

Hello!

I’m Abdelrahman and I’ve been a local guide for a few years now. When I first started my local guide journey I was only focused on taking pictures, ratings and writing general reviews about almost every place I visit but I was just writing about how good the place is whether it was: a restaurant then how delicious the food is or a hotel then how comfortable and cozy it is and so on. But I always appreciated the hospitality of any place more than anything else as it is a major part of my culture. It is the first thing that you notice when you walk in a place. If someone greeted you with a smile, it can really affect your mood through out the time you spend there. So I started mentioning this in my reviews and in some cases I would address it as the first point.

From a business owner stand point, your success is measured by gaining not only customers but regular customers and this could be done if a customer had a really good hospitality because then they could even recommend it to others. Customers not only want to have a good experience in a place but they also want to feel that they are welcomed and the host is happy to have them.

Mevlana Restaurant in Nürnberg, Germany is one of many places that I’ve seen major improvement in their hospitality since my first visit in April 2018. I posted a review mentioning this point and some pictures for the restaurant that were seen by more than 400K people and now I always go to this restaurant when I’m in Nürnberg.
