As a Local Guide, I have reviewed a tonne of places within a short time. I was a very introverted guy but the Local Guide Connect really changed that. I would go to town for some shopping and when I got back to the house, Google Map would be like, “Hey, you visited this place, want to share your experience?” Well, at first, I would overlook that, but with time, I started keeping tabs and records and if I got such an alert, I would ensure I revisit each place and share a review.
I shared a review on Kakamega Guest House last year and gave it a 4-star and the owner was grateful and reached out to say thank you. That made me feel like a hero and it motivated me to keep on exploring new places and reviewing them, because this would not only help people access them, but also ensure the owners get large numbers.
