How my passion and Google Maps has been a great experience for me so fa.
As a Local Guide, basically, I have couple of interesting things I’ve done so far as a Local guide which stands me out to making a difference, one of these super things I remember and which Google Maps commended me on recently for having over 300,000 views is adding the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp to the maps. It’s not just on the basis of the views but the relevance it has made so far.
I remember losing my way the first day I was visiting the location and it took me a while to finally locate the camp. Thus, after finding my way to the right spot, I decided to help others and make it easier which is the duty of a local guide and also this is what I Love doing as I have passion in discovering wonderful and amazing places.
Asides from being a National Location, it has served as a distinguished place for various educational, social, and other forms of background development for numbers of people.
A saying goes thus; “it is only by helping others we can truly help ourselves” and another says “the amount of service (help) you give to others determines the amount of service you also receive” therefore, it gives me joy to actually help hundred of thousands people and I believe Google Maps have been a great platform to helping people all over the world with the help of local guides.
Also, I remember helping a man from the US connect back to meeting his people whom he had lost contact with over the time
