Asides being more attentive to details while exploring the world. The most important thing I’ve done as a local guide is add places to Google maps. By so doing, I’ve been able to interact with people from all walks of life, and explore the world with more attentiveness.
I’ve been able to improve life and impact lives by helping tourists, business owners, job seekers… to mention but a few.
I remember deliberately hopping on my bike - a katana 600 with the sole intent of moving around and adding places. Places I’ve added includes but not limited to :
VineBranch Maternity centre: I got a notification that my activity is helping by adding a maternity centre in Ibadan-Nigeria. A total of 24,517 views within a short period of posting.
Bitemore : while riding by, I noticed a newly opened structure not yet pinned on Google maps, I instantly pulled over, walked in and made enquiries as I pinned and updated the eatery on Google maps. Within minutes, my creation was approved.
In a few days, the photo views had risen to 17,266.
Kakanfo Inn & conference centre :
A renowned location in Ibadan, travellers, business men and women etc often visit this location. I decided to take pictures and write reviews about it and I got notifications that my photos and reviews are helpful.
Knowing that my actions are easing someones stress, worries as the case maybe keeps me going and makes being a local guide a fulfilling and fun experience for me.
