Summary: I didn’t expect that adding a place on Google Maps will make a huge impact on people.
Hey, I’ve been regularly using google maps since 2015 but I haven’t realized in that time that people like me can even add a place on google map and now it’s 2020 I learned a lot about google map like example: adding the place, giving local review, adding images and photos, etc.
I am continuously helping by doing all the above-mentioned things from five years now and people have got so much support. Sometimes I got an mail from google also like “Hi Udit Wow, your photos are popular” so it’s a kind of energy drink for me to motivate that I am doing the right job.
I would like to share one of the stories which make me happier and I felt that it’s solving a lot of problems for users.
So I joined my new office in August-2019 and the office located in a tech park called “Global Technology Tech Park” and it has so many buildings inside. We all faced a lot of trouble during online food delivery, scheduling Uber time, even whether some new person is coming for interview, etc because people are going to be worried where exactly he has to come, so we used to call the guy and had to clarify where exactly to come and it was very difficult too because we are in a big tech park where all the building looks similar.
But I added the place on Google map and after that we my friend told me “WOW! we have now our office place on Google map” and I have been observed that during the cab booking time or ordering the food they just typing company name only and nowadays new people are just reaching in front of the office building rather than asking us or other people for directions.
