The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide: Answering Questions and Writing Reviews
Apart from helping someone trying to get information on google map, it is an opportunity to help anybody from anywhere in the world, Google map is the only platform where I’m given such legacy to help anyone looking for information may be about an organization or a place,
Google map will give me the opportunity to help, there is this joy that I’m doing well and I’m happy doing it.
One of the most interesting things I’ve done as a Local Guide is adding reviews about places to Google Maps.
By adding these reviews, I’m able to help business owners and their potential customers, business visibility rate increase and people already have a summary of where they going right on their phone. Amazing? Yeah, it is google map give us the platform to do that especially for small business and mega one inclusive.
Here’s a look at some of the Questions I’ve Answered and my personal impact:
SAM ETHAN AIR FORCE BASE: I made a big impact by giving a quick and specific answer to a question from someone trying to get to Sam Ethan Air force base, I did not only answer his question on time I make sure I teach the man how to use a Google map and I believe this will not only solve his present need but also his future need as well as this is the best way of transferring skill correctly, a lot of people need a quick answer because many are on a trip and they really need someone e to give an answer to their questions so they can make a decision on time and this is exactly what I did for this gentleman
AGODI GARDEN: I decided to have a hangout with my female friend so we decided to go to AGODI GARDEN to have fun and enjoy ourselves, we got to the place we have to wait for like an hour because we don’t have an idea of their opening time and we couldn’t find it on Google map, after the whole delay we are allowed to come in after paying for our tickets, it’s surprising that the place is not looking so good and everywhere is kind of looking old, it’s a raining season so we could not get to some place, I felt bad and really we just have to ride on a horse and leave after sitting down all day gisting, there is nothing really fun there, as we are leaving the place as a local connect guide, I decided to write a review about AGODI GARDEN I honestly tell the whole world what’s going on in detail and the urgent attention needed for renovation and proper maintaince of the Garden, and the likes of upgrading the place my review reached 388 people and been the management liked it and really right now the place is renovated and you will be happy coming to the place, Google map gave me the platform for expression and a room for change as well as giving people out there correct detail information about places, It’s a good feeling I get when I contribute to a positive change.

West Bay Nigeria Printing and Branding: I helped a new friend by adding a review about his printing and Branding business to Google Maps.
I attended the business launch, and before I leave the place, I asked if he is in Google map and he said yes after the conversation about Google Maps I decided to write a review about him, as I left the place google remind me of my visit and I did write a review about his business, is not even up to 3 months we meet and I asked him about his business, he told me my review got him more visibility and had new customers because some of them have to tell him I saw your business on Google map, I didn’t think it would be that efficient, I was only trying to do it to help, but the good deed made me a close friend.
Writing Reviews to Google Maps for places is a perfect way to make an impact. Through this small action, I’m able to help people, the organisation even churches in need find what they’re looking for; help a small business grow by writing reviews.
I’m grateful for a map that gives me a platform to help and serves people worldwide while also being maintained with constantly updated data by those same people. Writing Reviews —and Answering Questions is the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide!
