I started working as a local guide when I moved in to the suburban town called Toyohashi four years ago. Originally it was easy for me to take pictures and comment on Google map as I liked taking pics of delicious foods and a wonderful restaurants and cafe.
It is the culture that there are not many people use SNS from the viewpoint of privacy security. I guess people in Toyohashi are introverted. Therefore Google map has fewer pics and reviews than big city like Tokyo.
One day I went for lunch to the diner of the Japanese food. The diner was old and few people know. there were no reviews on google map at that time.Though it was a weekday, there were no guest.
I ordered a lunch and took the pics of inside the diner where nobody was while I was waiting for my lunch. I post the pics of both lunch and the inside of the diner, and the review to Google map. Then, the pics of inside the diner got 250,000 viewers, dishes got about 10,00 viewers. The reviews of the diner increased, and came up to 50.
I found out the nature of the people in this area didn’t want to go to the place where they’ve never known. I tried taking pics of both inside the building and dishes.
1 year ago, I went to a French restaurant with my friends.
They make stylish French cuisine fused Japanese style, using local vegetables.
Atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm and comfortable. Of course I post the review.
Surprisingly, the number of views
of inside the restaurant got more than 990,000 viewers, foods got from 10,000 to 40,000 viewers.
Casual actions of just taking pics, explaining what I experienced and learned made it useful for people in the city and people those who visit. It makes me so happy!! Getting the big number of viewer and high rating builds my confidence!!
