The most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide: Helping others

Start from 3 years ago, I joined this platform to share my journey and experience as a Digital Nomad. I moved and worked from one city to another, visit almost a thousand places and share my review there. This program gives me the chance to help more people around the world, especially the one who wants to visit Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, the place that I’ve been review.

Until today on March, 2020, I get the 9 level of Google Local Guide with more than 8.000 photos, 682 reach places, and more than 4 million photo views that make me get the achievement as a Master Photographer. And I become the top 1% Local Guide in my city, South Jakarta. For reviewer and expert director, it still on progress to get them, while I go to the new place in my life adventure.

And here are some of the places I’ve added and the impact:

Halim Perdana Kusuma International Airport. This is the first Airport I review. It is located on the East Jakarta which also closed to the city. My photo got 246.000 views and many questions come to this area. I try to answer based on what I know, and I am very proud because I have the opportunity to help people get more information on Google Maps.

Hardy’s Mall Nusa Dua, Denpasar, Bali. As we know that, Bali is one of the best destinations in the world. They have a good infrastructure, sociable people, and multi spot for travel and enjoying your life with nature. With these many attractions, good accommodations, and various amenities place to stay, make Bali still wonderful and unforgettable. One of my photos in Nusa Dua, Denpasar, Bali, got more than 125.000 views and I hope it can help tourist to get more information about the place especially on the picture.

Helping others is the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide. Through this small action on the platform, I am able to make a customer easier to find their information about a place, and also help the owner of that place grow and connect with new friend. I am very grateful for this program that serve people worldwide and I have a big contribution in just three simple steps: Upload, review, and get the feedback from another user.

Hello @dangkur ,

Welcome to Connect!

Keep in mind that one of the requirements for Connect Live 2020 was to share your post on the Local Stories board. Just to let you know, I’ve moved your post there.
