As a Local Guide Level 7, I’m very inspired by the idea of being part of a global community like the Local Guides. I consider myself a globetrotter.Well first I started using Google Maps only to navigate from one place to another and watch the photographs of landmarks, restaurants, airports etc which were been uploaded by local guides around the world.
The purpose of local guide is to make an ease for people around the world who visit your locality. As a local guide I have been trying to give very transparent reviews about the local places I have ever been to. This makes an ease for the foreigners who are being there for the first time to that particular place. Once you make the pros and cons available to people for that particular place, one is ready for the upcoming moment. So, it is very helpful for the people around the world who want to visit your locality. I would give a suggestion to all the Local Guides that they must keep on doing this beautiful job which no one else is doing except we (the Local Guides).
After getting to know about the Contribution which can be done in form of providing exceptional reviews, adding exclusive live photographs of food items, uploading restaurants menu cards, adding missing information, helping fellow people by answering to their questions, checking the facts for the people and creating lists of favorite places around the community which will help every single person.
Wherever I go, I use my phone to take photos and navigate with the help of Google Maps. When I check a place, I trust other Local Guides’ contributions and look at the photos they’ve shared and provide correct review of the particular place.Thanks to my little experiment, I was able to discover places I would have never found, got a more real impression of the places I visited, met amazing people and did totally unexpected but cool things.As a Local Guide I have the possibility to edit, add, evaluate and correct information about the map and its interest points. This is Fantanstic!
