As part of my regular endeavour to discover the world around me, connecting me with people all over the world and helping people learn about unknown places, the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide is adding places and photos to Google Maps. By adding these places, I have been able to help business owners and their potential customers as well as travellers to identify unknown places. Below are some of the places I have added and brought personal impact for people:
Kamor Cafe & Restaurant: I made a big impact by adding Kamor Cafe & Restaurant along kakrail main road, Battery Goli to Google Map - It has been viewed over 51944 times. One day Me and my friend Zaker Ullah were looking for a place to have coffee and snacks near Kakrail Road. Suddenly, a lightened Gate caught our eyes. We entered into the cafe and found few menus. We ordered few items. It was so delicious and in reasonable price. I noticed it was a new cafe and they did not have any online presence. Then, I added their Cafe location in Google Map and placed a review with some photos. Google Map approved my adding quickly and after that their business got promoted rapidly. After my review they now have received 36 reviews with customers’ satisfaction.
কার্তিকপুর ব্রীজ (Kartikpur Bridge): It was my great pleasure to contribute adding Kartikpur Bridge into Google map. It is located in my village area, Kartikpur. This is an important connecting bridge Between Naria and Shakipur at Shariatpur district. My adding made a big impact on the people of this area to locate Kartikpur bridge in Google Map. It has been viewed 9599 times and reviewed 19 after I point the location with review and photos. There are a beautiful views around the bridge. People gather here at the evening time to enjoy the sunset view and natural views of the river during twilight. This a far distance area from the Dhaka city where people are just being introduced with Google Maps services. The satellite images are still improving and many places need to identify. So, I started adding the bridge here so that people can know the location from Google Map and find their way to go. It is also helping other Google Maps contributors to identify nearby places quickly.
To get more information in Google Maps, it requires to enrich the information by the support of all. It is a dynamic and effective way to make an impact. Adding new places to Google Maps and reviewing the places with photos is a passionate work to support others and to know well about a location. This is a volunteer service that ultimately helps business owners , customers, travellers, and all other people with information as they are looking for about a position. I am grateful to Google Maps that they are serving people worldwide with their continuous support and improvement, and I have been able to be a part of this service by contributing with my little effort. I enjoyed adding these places—and the impact those places have own—is the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide!
