I am a veterinarian, virologist, project manager and business development strategist in my organization. It has been a busy world for me. I like to compensate myself for work well done by visiting places, sharing time with my family and trying to render a helping hand to the needy. My life philosophy is that I must work to make the world a better place. So, the most interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide was taking a leave from work to travel round Ibadan city. Ibadan is known as the biggest city, in term of land mass, in West Africa. In order to create a list on Google Maps, I had to apply for a week leave from work to visit places that are famous among tourists coming to Ibadan. Places like the following:
- Zoological Garden: most patronized of the zoological gardens in Nigeria
- Ventura: popular for its cinema and fast foods
- Agodi Garden: popular for its use as picnic and recreation centre
- Ibadan Polo Club: the only horse Polo club in Ibadan - known for hang-out, socializing and meeting
- Cocoa House: the tallest building in Ibadan. It contains corporate offices for various organizations.
And other places as found in my list.
I also made use of that time to taste the pleasures and relaxation that tourists enjoy. This made my leave very interesting and fun.
I invite all and sundry to visit Ibadan for interesting tourism.
